Everybody starts with a BR75 (Battle Rifle) and no secondary weapon. There's no motion sensor/radar for anybody. If the bell curve goes away due to population decrease then that is not a bad thing, Because you are still using a proper ranking system. You should not force a bell curve when populations decrease. And it becomes extremely demotivating when you see players you used to be able to contend with, and still put up a good fight, yet see in the post game that you’re 1-2 divisions lower than they are. Yes it was good when they fixed this once early on into Halo 5, but they have forced this bell curve multiple times late into halo 5’s life span, so for all the casual plat/low diamond players who have left the game and moved on, the ranking forces previously higher ranked players to rank lower than they previously did, even though their actual skill level is still high. Because then you got a lot of people who were mid onyx level for over a year dropping down into ranks that were previously considered for the “bad” players. It doesn’t work when you force the distribution into a bell curve well over a year into the game though.
